West Ham: ‘Like My Dreams’

47 year old former Besiktas and now West ham Manager Slaven Bilic has left his position as manager at the London Stadium. After sending west ham to 7th place after they were predicted to finish lower midtable last season. Slaven said ‘After finishing so high in the last season and having us lose our star player I realised that we would be in really big trouble this year so I asked the owners if I could be released.’ He also went on to say ‘After having such a good season at the Boleyn Ground last season I am sad to go but I realise I have done as much as I possibly can for this club and it’s time for me to move on to new ventures’

With West Ham United moving into the London Stadium in the 2016/17 season and currently having no manager. David Gold and David Sullivan will have their work cut out trying to find a replacement in time for the first Europa League qualifier on the 27th of July against Romanian side FC Vitorul. And having to replace Dimitri Payet at the club if they are to have any sort of chance in the new season.

The fans favourite for the role is Italian Paolo DiCanio, with Gold also saying he is eyeing up Garry Monk or Alan Pardew for the role, the latter being most likely because of his history with the club. But the bookies have a surprising underdog in Mitchell Owen who has never managed a club before but has had Coaching and Assistant manager roles at higher level championship teams and is currently looking into his first job in management.

Will West ham find the manager to take them in the right direction will they run out of time and inevitably collapse and plummet down the table. Will they find a suitable replacement for Payet and will they go further than last year in the Europa League? All questions that will be answered in the next few months.

Mitchell Owen announced as new West Ham manager

With Slaven Bilic leaving the club in early June going into Germany to manage Wolfsburg. West Ham had to find a replacement quickly so that they could and they found a replacement in the unknown Mitchell Owen.



Karen Brady has announced recently that the 43-year-old Mitchell Owen from Essex. On 41K a week. ‘It is my pleasure to introduce the new west ham Manager Mitchell Owen’ she said, ‘We know that he has never managed at a club as big as us before however we are confident that he is capable of taking our club to the next level, and he has full support from the club.’

With the Fairly unknown coming in at the beginning of July he has less than one month before his first competitive game in the Europa League. ‘I believe that we can do very well this season. Unfortunately, we have got a lot of big injuries at the club to all our strikers which is unfortunate, however other than that I have inherited a particularly good squad from Bilic and I believe with some small additions in a few positions we can do very well this season.’ Mitchell said.



He went on to say ‘It has always been a dream for me and I’m hoping that my dreams don’t fade and die this season as I really want to take this club as far as I possibly can. I also plan on bringing in a variety of different players some of which may be younger and more for the future and some of them will be for now. But we may need to sell to bring in more’

With Mitchell starting today and stating that his players with must prove themselves that they are worthy of a space in his team or they could be gone. And trying to bring in as many youngsters as he feels he needs. The future is looking bright for West Ham.
