Player Value Drop

So I've finished a successful season, first UCL semi-final for the club and reputation got higher. All of a sudden, my player's value
got a lot lower, top players from 20-18 GBP are now 13-10, wonderkids from 10 to 1, very frustrating. tried to change the currency and change it back since i've read its a common error but no effect. any ideas? does it make sense?
The overall value of the club went down by a 100M+ GBP

has anyone got answer for this? i am currently in year 2021 with celtic ive won the EL and players like dembele armstrong rogic have been worth around 19m for 2/3 seasons their contracts are long and i noticed that when i advanced from may to 12th june they suddenly reduced by loads, currently them top players are now valued at 7m my full squads values have more than halved yet my club rep is continental and league rep is impressive in the top ten leagues, this has somewhat ruined my save as now im getting low offers for players i should be getting 30m at least for.

Is it because they are rolling into the last or penultimate year of the contract?

The less time left on the contract the lower the value becomes, the fact it happens when you roll over into the season would suggest this.
