Signed as a 9-year-old in 1990. Making his debut as a fresh-faced 17 year old in 1998. Seeing his good friend, Sol moved to their north London rivals and on his return, George almost broke his leg which started a war of words for years to come. In 2004 watching Sol and Arsenal clinch the title at White Hart Lane really hurt Karl. He wanted that for himself and questioned the board and their ambitions.

Seeing the arrivals that summer, George couldn't see any way they were going to win the Premiership. With Santini being replaced by Martin Jol after a few weeks, the season ended with a good run, but they missed out on European Football by a couple of points. And George departed for a sunnier climate, signing for Barcelona in 2005 for £15 million just after his 24th birthday.

“Leaving Spurs a club I love and hold dear to me wasn't an easy decision to make. I've loved every minute playing at the lane and for the wonderful fans, but my career is a short one and I want to win trophies at the highest level and I believe here at Barcelona I will do that. I had offers to stay in England, for more money than what I'm getting now. But playing against Tottenham at White Hart Lane isn't something I could imagine doing.”

At Barcelona, George went on to win the Champions League 3 times. The La Liga 5 times. 2 Spanish Cups and numerous other championships before his career was ended in horrific circumstances.

Now after being out of the game for two years in which he's started his family and gained his UEFA License. And he's starting his career at a club he's all too familiar with.

Mauricio Pochettino clashes with Daniel Levy?

It's been reported that Tottenham Manager, Mauricio Pochettino has clashed heavily with Daniel Levy over Tottenham's transfer policy. After guiding Tottenham to their highest Premier League finish last season, in 3rd. Pochettino was expecting Daniel Levy to go out and get his targets, so they could challenge for the Premiership. But instead, Moussa Sissoko, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou and Vincent Janssen were brought in, instead of his preferred targets. Only Victor Wanyama was his actual transfer. So after all that money spent and Tottenham's starting eleven still not improved, Pochettino apparently reached the end of his tether and tender his resignation with the club after his war of words with the Chairman.

“It's with regret that as of today, Mauricio Pochettino has tendered his resignation, and we've mutually parted company. We'd like to go on record and thank Mauricio and his team for all they've accomplished during their two years at the helm. We're now considering candidates for the manager role.
