Scouting???

Hi, so throughout the years on FM i have always scouted the same way. I go through all the teams in all of the leagues where there are a lot of realistic targets and GET SCOUT REPORT for all of them. Normally they come back quite quickly with the info. I normally go Celtic and its fine but i have went Shrewsbury in this new FM and I thought it may be because they are a smaller club and don't have the resources but my issue is that in my first week i tried to scout players this way and its 2 years on and the haven't scouted the players yet. It may be because its a new game but I cant scout the way i use to
and i got the championship with relegation expected (haha) because im not making the signings i want. So im basically wondering if there would be a standout reason for them not being scouted , if im doing something wrong- what is the best way to scout players in bulk ??

I also do assignments and things like that but they tend not to pick up a lot of bargains by me doing it manually, hence why ive always done it this way. Any input would be great.

Hello Kieran,

the whole scouting system has been overhauled this year. When you ask a scout to deliver you a scouting report on a player, you no longer receive the report in your inbox as you used to on previous versions of Football Manager. You now have to go into the scouting tab to examine reports.

If you already knew this, then perhaps your scouting team does not have the budget or reach as Shrewsbury Town? Try and do some digging.
