Human Manager skill levels.

Im just hoping for an answer.... I want to start a realistic game with me starting at the bottom. Now i was never a world class player, so i want to keep my initial coaching ability realistic. But if i do, over time will it increase, and will my levels in certain coaching disciplines go up? I would hate to end up a premier league coach, but have the stats of a rookie coach, years in to the game.... Thanks in advance....
