Anyone still playing FM12

Yep. I am still hooked on this title only. It was the FM that got me through University! I find it the perfect balance of playability but still with enough of the features to make it feel like a full game.

I cant get used to the new ones, the whole personality groups, the designing my manager with a haircut, and the tweets etc. not to menton the fact each player can have like 6 different roles like Trequartista etc.

I MAY get the new one becauase the game engine looks absolutely insane and im a manchester united fan living in misery so I may try relive the glory days.

But I still love this game! I am currently managing Sampdoria in first squad, never done a save in Serie A so finding my way around the rules!

Currently have 2 saves running. Got back to playing FM2012 since I didn't play for a lot of years and didn't want to buy the newest versions yet. Been hooked ever since. Love the simplicity of the menu's, match engine is pretty good and overall balance of database remains good throughout the game. Only thing I don't really like is the transfer market. Too little transfers overall and it's near impossible to sell players that are not needed anymore.

Started a Sheffield Wednesday save with which I am currently in 12th season. 5 times EPL winner, 4 times Champions league winner. Great save with a really great team. Mostly regens, only players left from original DB are goalie Jack Butland, left back Tyler Blackett and CM Verratti.

2nd save is a youth academy challenge but with added 7th and 8th tier in England. Managing Dunstable Town. They start in 9th tier in the first season so they are a really small team. Managed to bring them to league 1 recently. Because of the challenge it's no transfers or loans. Only players from own academy can be signed. Has proven to be a pretty tough challenge! Still having difficulties with finances and haven't been able to do much improvement on youth recruitment, so intake is not better than my first team players.

If I get bored of these saves I will probably move to the newest version of FM. I doubt that will be FM26 though
