Newcastle Town F.C: A Castle in Lyme Valley

Founded in 1964, Newcastle Town are a semi-professional English club currently playing in the Evo-Stik League Division One South, finishing 7th last season.

The club play their home games at Lyme Valley Parkway Stadium and currently posses poor training and youth facilities - although their youth recruitment is somewhat praised locally.

Affectionately known as 'Castle', the club enjoyed they best spell of success in this decade. Castle won the North West Counties League Premier Division in 2010 - the 9th tier of English football.

They have finished runners-up in the English 8th tier in 1997, 2000 and 2011.

Currently managed by Armenian Davihd Rowektan*, the 2017 season is set to be a tough one for the Castle.

*Davihd Rowektan is a fictional character and has no real life connection to Newcastle Town F.C
