Hi

my laptop needs upgrading.

I am happy to spend up to £1500. Ideally want a laptop with a good enough spec to manage the next few titles at least on optimal settings.

ideas anyone?

much appreciated!!!

Can you get a laptop that maybe too high spec and may not run optimally?
This was one I was considering.

Thoughts?

ASUS ROG STRIX GL702VS-BA175T
Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad Core Processor
17.3" Full HD 120Hz Screen
Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit
24GB DDR4 RAM
256GB SSD + 1000GB HDD
Dedicated GTX 1070 8GB Graphics
NVidia G-SYNC & VR Ready
A bit overpowered just for FM but yeah that would handle FM19 without a problem.
If you spend that kind of money (like I did as well last week) you should probably get an I7 8750 because it has two more cores. 16GB of ram is more than enough, maybe look for something with another open slot.
24 GB is strange because it won't be dual channel (two different kind of ram size sticks or 3) which slows ram down.

The graphics card is overkill if you truly only want to play fm and nothing else. A 1060 or even 1050 TI will be enough. If you plan on playing different games as well though the 1070 is great (got it in mine as well).
I got the MSI GP73 Leopard RF8 but with a 1070 for about 1550, but you could get a Dell G7 15. https://www.notebookcheck.com/Top-10-Budget-Gaming-Notebooks-im-Test-bei-Notebookcheck.264232.0.html it's German but you see the specs and prices (probably cheaper in UK).
