FM Genie Scout 10 v1.1 does not run !

I just don't understand why all previous versions of the scout run fine on my PC but not 1.1 or 1.11, although both 1.1 and 1.11 work fine on my laptop - which is xp pro sp2.

Thanks Stam - and thank Eugene too - although frustrating, these issues won't have been intended and the guy is a legend so I'm sure we will all cut him some slack.

To be honest mate, I don't think Eugene cares if random people blame him for anything; he knows what he's worth and what critique is worthy of taking into consideration. I don't care as well. I do what I think is the right thing to do, I read up all suggestions and comments, and as long as I feel good about it, I keep this site alive and I'm being helpful and active. This situation with new Genie Scout version apparently needs my attention no matter if I'm on vacation or not.

However, generally speaking, there are times I'm in no mood to come here and reply to anyone, but in the end I shouldn't be so essential in running this community; it's members should be enough to keep the place lively.

i use XP, and I've updated JAVA and quicktime and windows itself, and i also have SP3, still nothing at all happens when i press .exe ... can anyone help ?

Hi, have deleted old scout and dl'ed new one, updated vista and java, still getting error message stating scout has stopped working then that it has developed a problem and needs to close, previous scouts worked fine on 10.1 and 10.2, now have 10.3 and this is the update i had been waiting for but does not work, would have made donation for a working copy.

Stam you are right!!! I just want to thank you and Eugene for making this stunning software for free, as well as this site and community. Anyone who asks for help should be polite and respectful. My genie still don't work but i'll wait, i'm sure that you will fix it. So thank you and don't mind the bad manner boys.

Thank you for the hint about updating Java and Windows, I've tried it, but it does not work for me... When I install previous version, it runs perfectly fine !
