stam : well, since Eugene doesn't know what's wrong with freeze/crash on start... blind guessing is an option lol
you posted version where mate?

EDIT: sorry didn't notice your post above. firefox doesn't print framework version (laptop), try another browser.
your desktop seems to have v2, v3 and v3.5 installed.

ah.. Houston we got a problem. it's seem that the laptop don't have any framework :con
i tried to get the information through 3 different browsers and i don't see any framework version so i tried to do this with the registry editor and i wasn't able to find the folder with the net framework and NDS... :dontgetit
any ideas what this could mean?
My laptop has frameworks v1.1.43; 2.0.50; 3.0 and 3.5.

Not sure what this means. Delete 3.0 and 3.5 and see if it works?
Just checked my mum's laptop (that the programme works on) and she's running the same frameworks as me. So the NET framework seems unlikely to be causing the issue.

hmm.. OK so it's probably not a problem with the frameworks so it's more lilkey to fix then :)
now what the can be the difference between laptop process running and normal computer :con
kingdevilb :
parachutes : I use XP mod based on Professional.
what do you mean based on professional... go to control panel system and see what is the windows edition.:@
That means I use modified version of Windows Professional (irrevelant programs and services were cut out before the instalation).

kingdevilb :
parachutes : EDIT: I play on boxed version of FM.
what the hell is box version :con
There are two legal ways to play FM. The first one is to install it from CD/DVD and play with disc inside (it's called "BOXED") and the second one is to install it using steam and play with no disc inside. When you download patches from the official FM site you have to choose between those two versions: http://www.footballmanager.com/index.php?p=article&newsid=3978

Clear?

Stam, so there is no chance for another fix from Eugene? Many people keep asking me - they don't speak english and there is no polish version of fmscout.com:)
@ parachutes:
Eugene is aware of the topic here and the problems. Unfortunately, he has no solution yet to the freeze/crash that happens when trying to open the .exe file, and obviously uploading save games wouldn't help in that case lol
However, he didn't rule out the release of another fix, meaning that he's still working on it. So, we can probably expect another version.
Thats great news.

As a matter of interest, did the version with no ads work for people?

What's the latest Stam? Great to here Eugene is working on fixing it. Has he had any breakthroughs?
