Online stuck on 'Processing'

Hello,

First of all i've tried searching for a soloution but come to no luck.

I've played online for the last year with no real issues.however recently i've tried to load up into an online game with someone and my game keeps crashing on the processing screen.

This hasn't happened before and i normally can jump straight in however this seems super wierd.

Does anyone know why this may be?

I have fiber broadband and its directly plugged into my laptop. My laptop is about 6 months old.

Any advice/help is appreciated.

- The crash happens only when trying to join a game someone else is hosting?
- Does the issue persist if you try joining someone else's game?
- Have you tried hosting the game yourself?

I doubt this is an internet connection related problem.

It might be a driver update for the graphics card for example (I've personally encountered this, had to go back to previous driver version).

Or some Windows update that got installed in the background and messed up access rights that prevent you from joining an online game. If I had to bet, I'd go with this last scenario.

- It only happens when im trying to join someone else's game.

- I've tried joining games before with no issues. I tried and joined a randoms 'save' and it worked fine..

- I haven't tried hosting this specific game, i have done previously though.

I have checked everything is up to date graphics card etc and it all seems to be fine, like you say it might just be to updated, so to speak!

If the last one is the issue Stam, how would I rectify this as im not computer savvy...

If you can join a random's save without any issues, that means the problem has to be with that specific someone you're unable to join.

Probably something to do with sufficient permissions that allow other people to be connected to his game. A firewall setting maybe.
