FM19 Won't Launch on my Mac

Hey everyone, its been a long time since I've made a post on here but I'm having an issue.

I've recently bought a Mac and wanted to play FM on it (something I haven't done properly for a while ) but the game won't launch, I just get my desktop showing despite the game showing its open in the dock. The activity monitor also says its open, but is using no RAM, CPU etc.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue or knows how to solve it?

This isn't the only game that I'm having the issue with either.

I don't know if having bought the games and played them before on a Windows PC makes a difference?

If anyone has any solutions I'm all ears.

I highly doubt the issue is related to playing the games on Windows before.

It's very likely a "Catalina" problem. Despite not using my old mac mini for ages, I've seen several complaints around the web (and SI forums) about this particular macOS version.

By the way, in order to find the "Application Support" folder, this was the regular way I was aware of:

Open the "Go to Folder" menu
Enter the path of the Application Support folder
Copy the following path and paste it into the "Go to Folder" input field.
~/Library/Application Support
Finally click "Go" to go to the folder.

No idea if it still applies to Catalina.

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and it now seems to be working so no idea what happened there.

Never managed to find the application support folder but have managed to find the steamapps folder thanks to some very helpful people on Twitter so I'll leave how I got to it here incase it helps anyone else:

Open the Finder window > hold down option on the Go menu and the Library folder will appear > open the library folder and search steamapps and it pops up along with a load of software files
