Eastleigh Football Club

Eastleigh Football Club (also known as The Spitfires) is an English semi-professional football club based in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Currently playing in the Conference South, the club was founded in 1946 and have played at their current home ground, Silverlake Stadium, since 1957.

In their first season in the Conference South, they finished just outside the play-off zone,in a respectable 8th place.
At the end of the 2006-2007 season, Eastleigh finished off a frustrating season, 15th in the league.
The Spitfires spent much of the 2007-2008 season in the play-off zone, but a poor run of form in the last six matches saw them finish in 6th place just outside the play-offs.
Eastleigh just missed out on the automatic promotion in the 2008-2009 season, but finished 3rd which secured a play-off place. They progressed to the Semi-Final and beat Hayes & Yeading United 4-2 in the first leg, however in the second leg they lost 4-0 meaning Hayes & Yeading won 6-4 on aggregate.

From taking over in July 2009, I decided to make drastic measures in adding depth to my team, to help match the media prediction of us securing 2nd and getting promoted.
I told the chairman that I would achieve the minimum expected in which was clinching promotion to do this I brought in a number of players;
Transfers In
Luke Webb (Free Transfer)
Cleophys Hoare (Free Transfer)
Danny Williams (Free Transfer)
Harry Hogarth (Free Transfer)
Jason Norville (Free Transfer)
James Owen (Free Transfer)
Theo Swaine (Free Transfer)
Lee Molyneux (3 Month Loan)
Nathan Thompson (3 Month Loan)
Jamie White (6 Month Loan)
Luke Wilkinson (3 Month Loan)
Bobby Hopkinson (3 Month Loan)
Callum McNish (10 Month Loan)
Stefane Palmer (Season Long Loan)
Transfers out
Danny Smith (Released)
Andy Forbes (Released)
Richard Gillespie (Released)
The formation I took up was; 4-3-2-1 mainly because it suited my team most with its greatness in strength and direct passing.

My Starting Eleven
GK- Jason Matthew
WBR- Nathan Thompson
WBL- Lee Molyneux
CB- Luke Wilkinson
CB- Tom Jordan
MC- Josh Webb
MC- Callum McNish
AMC- P Adeniyi
AMC- James Norville
AMC- Anthony Riviere
ST- Jamie White
Pre Season

Friendly matches were okay but I knew we had to perform much better once the season got off and running.
Southend 1-3 (Lost)
Farnborough 2-0 (Won)
GH Academy 0-0
Exeter 2-1 (Won)
Southampton 0-3 (Lost)
Boston Utd 2-1 (Won)
Stockport 1-2 (Lost)

I saw these matches as a way to gel the team together after making so many changes to the squad.
I also added another scout to my backroom staff Aaron Smith a very promising scout who fits in well with the team.

Bring on the new season!!
August 2009

Braintree 1-0 W
Weymouth 0-0
St Albans 1-0 W
Bromley 3-0 W
Thurrock 1-1
Dover 1-0 W
Woking 1-1

August saw us go unbeaten with three disappointing draws, especially the draw against Weymouth. This unbeaten month saw us sit in promotion spot and also saw me take Manager of the Month. The month gave us a view of Jamie White and what he is capable of!
So far i think its going very well for you. I think you should try adding screenshots mate.
September 2009

Staines 2-1 W
Bath 1-0 W
Newport Co 1-0 W
Chelmsford 2-0 W
Swindon S 0-0 FA Cup 2nd Qual Rnd
Swindon S 1-2 L FA Cup 2nd Qual Rnd Rep

September saw us drop no points in the league which gave us the privilege of sitting on top of the league. A embarrassing exit out of the FA Cup against Swindon S who are not even in a league – though I did play a second choice team but no excuse for the lose – which the chairmen and fans also believed as they expressed their disappointment mainly because of the financial reward it brings to smaller clubs like us.
October 2009

Havant & W 2-1 W
Maidenhead 1-0 W
Dorchester 2-3 L
Hampton & R 1-0 W
Worchester 2-0 W

October saw us concede our first defeat to middle of the table team Dorchester, I was warned before that my team where likely to take the game to lightly by my Assistant but I stubbornly brushed it off but it soon hit me in the face. Away from the negative, the month saw us secure early rivalry points from us, quite comfortably despite the score line, see off Havant. It also saw us beat early promotion contenders Maidenhead which gave us a combatable lead at the top of the league. Again I won Manager of the Month giving me the award three months in a row ! From this better then thought start I was hoping the players stayed focused throughout the season, which I think is more then capable. I am also in talks with a couple of free transfer to add more depth and quality to help us through the season.

I am trying to get my head round the layout and tools but I'm struggling to add screenshots. I am print screening them but honestly don't know where I'm going from there :S so if anyone can give me tips I would be very grateful.
When I do screenshots, I use photoshop to capture the image. Once I've sized the image down I upload it to imageshack and link to it from there.

1. Hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard once you have the screenshot you want.
2. When you get into photoshop, press CTL-N to open up a new document. If you&裟ve already done step 1, it will format the dimensions automatically for you.
3. Press CTL-V to paste the screenshot you took earlier into the photoshop document.
4. Go into the "image" tab and select "image size". I like to resize my images to 800x600 so it formats well for most monitors.
5. Go into the "file" tab and select "save as". Save the new document somewhere and change the file type to ".jpg".
6. Upload your image(s) to imageshack or whatever image hosting website you want.
