Unlock Germany and Japan national teams in FM20

As with previously installments of Football Manager, FM20 should have certain files that will prevent you from managing certain national teams and from current real players showing up in their rosters due to licensing issues.

The national teams with the problem:

• Germany
• Japan

How to fix

Fixing this is relatively simple.

Go to:

Windows
Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Football Manager 2020 \ data \ database \ db \ 20XX \ lnc \ all

Mac
[username] > library > Application support > Steam > steamapps >common > Football Manager 2020 > data > database > db > 20XX > lnc > all

Here you will find a few files. Look for 2 files in particular:

• fake.lnc
• nleague.lnc.

Simply delete those 2 files and create a new savegame, or wait until the next time international squads are announced on your current savegame.

Here is the complete list of what is unlocked by deleting them:

• National teams of Germany and Japan become playable.
• Enable player pics for national teams of The Netherlands and France.
• Restore real players for the team Albirex Niigata (Singapore).
• Fix colors and names for various clubs, stadiums, cities in Japan.

The international squads were announced on my current saved game but I still cant use them.
It works if I start a new game only.

This is my first time trying to fix the license issues but I cant seem to unlock the German National team which is still full of fake players despite having been called up several times. Everything else seems to be fine now.

Is this not how the folders should look? The folders 2000, 2001, 2010 and 2013 are all empty.
