So I play FM very differently than most - so I'll understand if what I'm looking for isn't possible!
I've got 1,000+ hours in FM over the years and my current preferred play mode is Create a Club with Fake Players. I simply got bored knowing all of the Wonderkids and bargains before I even started the game - Bellingham, Esposito, Donnarumma, Florentina zzzz...
I naively thought that by selecting Use Fake Players and Staff I was getting an entirely regen/newgen database. However after starting a few seasons in short succession it dawned on me that Use Fake Players and Staff is simply renaming existing players (and altering a few minor stats) and giving them a regen portrait.
I'm really keen to play Create a Club with a database of entirely regen/newgen players.
I've googled this for hours and haven't found a solution.
What I did find:
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z3k0gq1XdY - How to Create a Club Full of Regens on Football Manager 2019 | FM19 Regen Rovers Tutorial. This looks like a partial workaround, however when I tried it in FM20 I got exactly 1 regen in my 'Bristol Rovers' team.
2. I found a couple of old threads referring to blank databases, but after downloading a couple I couldn't find a way to use this database in Create a Club (plus they were .fmf files...)
Any ideas or suggestions appreciated!!!
