Get the better out of Lucas Paqueta?

I'm starting my third season with AC Milan and I still can't get anything good from Paqueta. In the 2 first seasons, he scored 9 and assisted 4. That would be a mediocre season if that was only one... but it's 2 and it's definitely not enough.
First season he played in a 4-3-3, as a deep lying playmaker, and as an advanced playmaker. Second season he was in a 4-1-2-1-2, as a CAM.
This season I'm back to 4-3-3 and I'm planning to play him as an advanced playmaker.

How did you manage Paqueta? Did you get anything out of him?

(and nobody wants to buy him, so I'm stuck with him, otherwise he'd already be gone)

I had him for a brief 6 month spell during my Atalanta save and he was quite good for me as a Mezzala on Support/Attack depending on the opposition, other players starting etc. It's important to know that the roles other players around him have will directly have an impact on how he performs as role combinations and how they complement each other are so, so important.

My best advice for you would go into a game on full highlights on which ever role/duty you want and watch Paqueta specifically for maybe 20/30 minutes at least to see how he performs, how he interacts with his teammates etc.

Mezzala is a good idea, I played around it a bit earlier but not too much
