VfL Bochum now played in 2. Bundesliga. Famous player was Stefan Kuntz. Bochum played 1. Bundesliga in the season 2010/2011. Between Schalke, Borussia Dortmund has Bochum very difficult position.

Bochum had perfectly start, when Saulo Decarli scored goal by fine header, though Besuschkow equalized level only after one minute, we still had match under own control. Ganvoula played with joy. Bochum won 5:1. It was a great match. We have three points. Next match played Bochum home in a Westphalia derby against Arminia Bielfeld. Decarli scored another goal, but it was disallowed by VAR. Ganvoula fouled goalkeeper, I don't think, that it was a foul. Captain of Arminia Fabian Klos deflected Tesche's shot and Bochum was in lead. I think it was a satisfaction for disallowed goal five minutes before.It was key moment of the match. Bochum won 1:0. We are happy. Two match two wins and first place in league table. Good start for me. League had pause for DFB Pokal. Bochum played in Rostock. We didn't play well. We had a strong ball possession, we were better, but we couldn't score. Lee Chung-Yong scored last-minute winner in extra time. We won 1:0et We are going to next round. After cup, Bochum travelled to Hamburg, which was was the favorite of the match. We did a good job and we have an excellent three points. Lee Chung-Yong scored another goal and Stefano Celozzi showed sublime finish from 25 yards. Bochum won 2:0. League continues and Bochum played next round in home against Wiesbaden. Pantovic scored early goal from penalty spot and when Eigner was sent off after second yellow card, Wiesbaden had no chance, to change the result. With one man advatage, it could be more than 3:0. Four wins for Bochum in row and first place in table.
In next round Bochum played in Stuttgart. It was generally expected that Stuttgart would win. We went to get at least a point from Stuttgart, so after a 0:0draw, we could be happy. It was poor match. Next match Bochum played home against Dynamo Dresden and it was another dominant win for Bochum. Celozzi did an amazing dribbling and Ganvoula had an easy work. Captain Peter Fabian scored second goal after corner kick
and Pantovic closed the score at 3:0. Next round Bochum travelled to Sandhausen. It was very Paqarada scored amazing goal from free kick. Amazing cross of Lee Chong-Yung prepared position for Losilla, which equalized level. Bochum won 2:1 In stopped time Meier hit a post and Zoller find the net. We lost Eisfeld. He have fractured ribs and he will injure 4 - 6 weeks. I hope that Maier will be able to replace the injured Eisfeld. Last match in september we played home against Darmstadt and your run without lose had a next continues. Maier fully replaced Eisfeld. He scored amazing goal from 25 yards.
