I've played football manager for quite a while now and would say i know the ins and outs of it, though i seem to come across one problem quite regularly that i just cannot seem to get around

How do you stop your balance from constantly falling? i've tried everything i can think of (mainly reducing the amount i spend and reducing the wage bill)

Anybody able to help or have the same problem?
I think there are several things you can do from your side, firstly reduce your wage bill, (including wages, bonuses etc) and secondly you can sacrifise some money to come directly to your transfer budget if your team has a loan (where the majority of them have) For example, instead of selling him in his normal price, try to raise his price tag a bit, in order for the interested team to pay back with monthly installments. Therefore the monthly installments will pay back your loan, that's another way to reduce your monthly expenditure.

Moreover, apart from prize money, you have to perform well in the league in order your fans to come and see your team (increase monthly income through gate receipts) and get higher sponsorships & TV contract) before the new season. Therefore you can increase your monthly spnsorship and tv revenue income.

Lastly, you can have an affiliated club for merchandising purposes to raise your monthly income.
Outside of cash injections from the owner, winning is your best bet. Winning cup competitions is a very good source of money for lower level teams, and winning league games helps out with gate receipts no matter what level you're playing on. Also, I always try to schedule as many high profie friendlies to bring in extra money. I squeeze in a good bit before the season to bring in money and help get my players fit.
Basically i would say be disciplined with how many players you buy and always leave room in the wage budget. winning games above where your team should be can be costly in win bonuses but should in theory bring more cash in. Many football clubs in the real world lose cash through the season
