Go to options in Genie scout. Choose the directory of your fm installation, and find the latest update of lang_db.dat.
Usually found here:
..\football manager 2010\data\updates\update-1030\db\1030\lang_db.dat
Not so much of a problem since the program can run fine even with this issue coming up in the beginning for most people. But you got a workaround, thanks gwynvyd :)

Thanks for the reply mate.

when you say coose the directory of my fm installation, you mean the user data directory or? never the less I tryed it with that directory and the problem is that I can only come to ..\football manager 2010\data\updates\update-1030\db\1030, and then I can choose edit or inc... nothing else. I know it is there but cant see it with genie scout.

Ok. I mean the installation directory, which means probably it's somewhere in your programfiles dir.
When you have gone to the typed directory, you should find the file there. No need for going into another sub-directory after the ..\1030. The file should be there.
Seems like I got it, thanks alot mate.
Glad to help.
