FM20 Online Crashing - Help

My friend has tried to join an online game we are trying to set up but every time he clicks in the search box his game crashes, he can run the game fine in single player.

He has the game through x-box game pass where as i have it through steam, not sure if this would cause any problems or not?

Fixed, my friend bought the game on Steam instead and it is now working no problem.
So the issue appears to be with X-Box game pass version.
