hey guys, was wondering why on the scout program, when im looking at a player's potential rating, sometimes he does not reach the full level of his potential ability?
for example, one of my players has a PA of 178 but when i look at his potential stats, his CA is 156.
Potential rating is merely an indication, it can't be 100% valid mate. It takes several coefficients into consideration before 'deciding' how a player could turn out to be; for example, player's age and work rate. On the other hand, isn't it more realistic that not every player is going to reach his full potential? It should also be a matter of proper training/tutoring, and of course first team play.
what stam said, when i start with lower leagues i put more effort into getting good coaches then buying loads of players. in my games i often have some who get very close to their PA. Some still don't though, and if they don't perform either then sell and buy someone else
