Boring gameplay problems...

I'm a longtime gamer of FM, after many test in game through the years, many many test, I noticed this hateful problem: if you play narrow, short ball, possession football, with many midfielder and slow time, maybe you can gain possession but you'll never score goals... This is a very naive problem, to score goals you are forced to play fast direct football, no other way, and this is so much far from reality (I think about old Guardiola tactics). You can fill your team with incredible passing players, with amazing dribbling skill, but they will never make a clean assist to the poacher, poacher will never receive the ball, so frustrating...
Moreover the only skill who need a great goleador in this game is speed, so predictable and limited: just put super high pressure, direct passing strategy and ultra fast players and you will win every game (I won easily the ligue1 with Montpellier with this tactic... ridiculous) but if you like to play football like the football it really is, it's better for you to quit the game.
I'm curious to know if many of you longtime players of the game have noticed the same annoying things, have a nice day.

Absolutely. Short passing never seems to work, no matter how good the players.

Fortunately, I dont seem to have such an issue. My Zebre side has Pogba, James Rodriguez, Bernardo Silva, Dybala and Ronaldo. I play 4231 custom tiki taka with short passing and high tempo. And the passing game is rather good and leads to a lot of chances.

I would suggest signing more technically gifted players and a striker with great off the ball movement. Also, have your fullbacks provide width but set them to cross less often. So they will stretch that defense and then pass in field towards your no. 10 and no.8, giving them the space to find the right pass

But yeah there definitely need to be some improvement with the passing gameplay
