Loan problem

I am wondering if this is an issue with the game or missing something .. I am trying to sign a couple of players on loan in the January transfer window as a couple of my long term loans have been cancelled. I now have 3 players on loan, however I am still unable to sign anybody due to the maximum of 6 rule?

I would expect this is something wrong with the game, try reporting on the SI forums. I cant say I've encountered the same bug in any of my LLM saves
