No regen/newgens wingers

Im 8 seasons into a Leeds save playing with wingers in Lm&rm positions but the game only seems to produce inverted wingers or inside forwards.

I know it’s the way football is heading but one very 5 years would be nice

Have a HoYD which have same preferred formation as you, plus IW is not bad because it has the W attributes as well.

i Find the attributes for inverted wingers like stamina and work rate can still be a little lower than a natural winger when on a support duty.

in the last 6 seasons of my save only a handful of wingers have appeared and none are of a standard for my Leeds team.

As others have said, your HOYD influences what positions your regens will be. I would try to find a HOYD who's preferred formation is a 4-4-2 or something similar where the wingers would typically play a more traditional winger role. If their preferred formation is a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 I would imainge more often than not your regen wingers would prefer to cut inside.
