How Many Subs IN A Game?

I was under the impression that you can make 5 subs in a game provided it is done in 3 changes. Whatever I do I get stopped at three. I'm in the UK Championship league. Has the 5 rule been brought into FM21? Do I need to start a new game to get the benefit of an update.

You can't substitute 5 players -> 1 at the time. You have to do it at 3 pauses (2 subs + 2 subs + 1 sub = 5 or 3 + 1 + 1 = 5). If you use 1 sub at first pause, 1 sub at second pause & 1 more at third pause, you can't use any sub of 2 remaining.

Yes, I've just put 2 subs on at my first pause, then at my 2nd pause only one is allowed. Frustrated

Maybe it depends what season you are playing in?
if you are still in 19/20 season the new rule doesn't apply until November 2020
My save is in League 2 and i can't make five subs in season 21/22

It might happen in the next update.

Sound pretty normal to me. Maybe the game convert back before covid situation
