As a player, he made over 400 appearances over a 17 year career, most notably representing Manchester United from 2003 to 2015. Known as a hard-working and rugged midfielder, Fletcher represented Scotland on 80 occasions and won 5 Premier League titles with United as well as the 2008 Champions League final. After leaving the Red Devils, he had stints with West Brom and Stoke before retiring in 2019 at the age of 35.
Fletcher was appointed manager of Scottish side Motherwell in January 2021 after a stint as a coach for Manchester United.
