Sunday 30th May 2010 - Interview with Ingvar Kamprad.
http://www.mediauk.com/logos/100/28228.png

Sky Sports: Welcome to Scottish football Mr. Kamprad! This must be a great moment for you?

Ingvar Kamprad: It is an amazing moment. I've been looking to get involved in football in a while but not by purchasing a big club like most people. I've always been interested in grass roots football & to build a team from the ground up like we are currently doing.

Sky Sports: Yesterday your new team were accepted to join the Scottish Football League in the Third Division, is this something you were aiming for from the start?

Ingvar Kamprad: From the start? No! Back in January I was imagining the side joining the Scottish Junior League's for a couple of seasons before trying to make the step up to senior football. I'm not complaining though!

Sky Sports: Your choice of stadium to start AFC Stonehaven United's life in has come under criticism from many people, how do you feel about that?

Ingvar Kamprad: Glenbury Park is the only grounds in Stonehaven so to me it was an obvious choice. I want to create a fan base & moving the team around the area is not the way to do this.

Sky Sports: There are rumours that you've aleady sorted the Stones out with a new stadium?

Ingvar Kamprad: I have secured a plot of land in Stonehaven, yes. Planning permition has been granted & I will be announcing final details later in the year.

Sky Sports: Finally we need to ask you about your choice of manager for the team.

Ingvar Kamprad: A new club deserves a new manager. We are looking for someone new to the role & are currently holding interviews. The clubs aim is to move up the Scottish leagues responsibly & not suffer the same fate as teams such as Gretna.

Saturday 10th July 2010 - Stones first ever game.
http://www.virtualfair.co.uk/Daily_record_virtual_shopping_mall/images/fair-logo.png

AFC Stonehaven United took to the field today to play their first ever game against Highland League outfit Forres Mechanics at the Stones temporary home Glenbury Park. The first 25 minutes consisted of the Stones having a good number of chances against their non-league opposition, but no first goal for the side. Stonehaven United's first ever goal came on 41 minutes & what a goal it was! Ian McKenna recieved the ball just past the half way line, took the ball unchallenged & shot for the opposite corner of the goal from 20 yards, leaving the Forres Mechanics goalkeeper wondering what had just happened as the ball went into his top right corner of the goal. Striker Bobby Lynn picked up a knock & was subbed off midway through the second half. The Stones defence were efficiant with what they had to deal with today, with their opponents rarely testing Raymond Jellema in goal. Out of the 39 fans in attendance, 26 were a group of Stonehaven Utd fans, already in replica shirts & singing their new team on only 6 months after the team were founded.

Wednesday 10th November 2010 - Stones board lays the cards on the table.

Due to the fans current feeling of worry for their new club's future, the Stonehaven United board have decided upon various back up plans should Glenbury Park not be fit for Scottish League football:

- The board have sent in an application to join the Scottish Junior Football East Region Super League for the 2011/2012 season should no alternative be available. The board would like to makesure fans know that dropping down from the Scottish League will be a worst case scenario.

- Despite doing everything possible to play in the town of Stonehaven, the club may attempt to enter a ground sharing agreement with a local Scottish League side.

- Set up temporary structures at Glenbury Park, providing Stonehaven FC give permission.
