Need serious help fighting relegation

I need some serious help fighting relegation in the Scottish league 1 with Cowdenbeath last season I got them promoted and I expected we were going to struggle but we just aren't getting anywhere we haven't won a game and we barely score goals I don't know if it's the tactics or the players or if we are just doomed. My scouts don't seem to really find any players that are within my scouting area I was wondering if you guys could take a look at my tactics and tell me if anything is wrong or just give me some general tips on staying up.

I've been taking loads of players on trial to try and find good players but most are only about 3-4 stars but their stats seem terrible, I've tried loan players but most of the ones who would be an improvement won't even consider coming to me.

Stars don't mater, attributes yes. From above link you can find a tactic which works

high determination
high workrate
high stamina
waste time towards end of the game
use a def mid
play on the break
play hard
press hard
make sure all players can decent pass
reduce temp if ypu get in front
full back set to defending
