So I'm in 2031 with Middlesbrough, just taken over them whilst they are in the relegation zone. I've been with Ayr, Dundee United and Celta Vigo previously. You can see from the screen shot the stats from the game and this is pretty much sums up how my whole career has went. Dominating possession (usually up around 60%), having more shots and higher xG but always getting out scored by my opponent from easy shots (or long range shots). My players are always hitting it wide or hitting the keeper and I'm surprised when they actually score a goal. Are my tactics wrong? Should my team talk be different? Are my players just rubbish?

Its hard to give solid advices without seeing your players and the tactic..

Anyways from the single screen it looks like you are playing a attacking tactic where you get cought offguard and the opponent score on counters.

You get the odd 'i got fmed game' but if this is happening often you should tone down the attacking and work on getting a better balance so your players are more suites to the job asked of them. Check roles and suitability to try dictate what players who actually finishes a attack. Like you dont want to have wingers with 5 finishing/longshot to finish the attack.

To play super agressive and attacking football you need excellent players. If you dont got that, tone it down abit and work on solidifying your defence.
Hi T, As mr Wicked states, it's difficult to say from just one screen.

Looking at it from a logical perspective: Playing aggressive football leaves every team open to counters and 'easy' goals. Its the way football works irl too. If you play possession-based football, your team will have more control over the game, but strikers will have less space in front of goal. Your team will push back the opposition, and they will park the bus inside the penalty area giving your strikers a harder time to score.

Especially if your strikers aren't great, this can be a big problem. My advice: play to the strengths of your players, they're the ones who gotta perform.

Good passers in your defense? Play out from the back. Terrible finishers? Make sure they get space for their finishing by playing through balls or long balls over the defenders. Tall striker? Crosses crosses crosses and play for set pieces.

I hope this helps :)
