Assigning Custom Tactics to managers

I am currently trying to sim seasons using custom tactics and I was wondering if it was possible to assign custom tactics to managers and retire (complete sims faster using this method) or would I have to stick to going on vacation with the custom tactic loaded?

If you go with retire, then tactic will not be hold and the club will hire a new manager.
