News Subscription Problem

I have a problem on my FM2011 so if anybody could help that would be grand...

Anyways, is it possible to turn off automatic news subscriptions, basically I exported a shortlist with 20,000 players on or so, and now my game has automatically subscribed to every one of them, so I cant continue without having about 200 pieces of mail a day, and I cant remove it because there is just wayyyy to many players and FM2011 just says "not responding" when I try to select all and remove on the news subscription screen. Any other ways to remove the subscriptions and stop this happening in the future?

delete the shortlist from the folder you downloaded it too. . ?

try highlighting 1000 at a time using the shift button and removing them, should be easier for your pc to handle, also give your pc time to remove them if it says not responding just give it a couple of minutes.

As for disabling automatic subscriptions I don't know of any way. Would be nice if there was though along with an option to stop player scout reports appearing in your news.

Deleting shortlist has not helped, I tried doing that and nothing happened.

As for highlighting 1000 at a time, is there a quick way to do it, or is it just shift+clicking 1000 at a time?

Anyway I have a bigger problem, everytime I try to go onto "Mange Subscriptions" nothing happens, the screen comes up but the competition names are not showing, and everytime I try to click the players, it says "Not Responding" at the top. I tried leaving it for about 20-30 minutes and still no response...

if theres no way you can get into subscribtions then you'll have to import the shortlist again and unsubscribe in the shortlist.

If you can get into subscriptions to highlight players click to highlight the top player then click the sidebar about 20 times to go down the list then hold shift and click to highlight a another player, this should highlight all the players inbetween so you can remove them.

Ok its sorted now, I just went to "set active shortlist" then checked and then unchecked the problem shortlist. Problem sorted, Thanks for the help
