I really think that the England FA should disband from FIFA after the outrageous decisions made by them. When Sep Blatter said 'to the losing parties, I would like to comisserate them, but that is sport', I wanted to punch him in the balls. Really? Corruption and bribery is sport?
You'll just have to come to terms with the fact that no-one likes you
like the punch in the balls idea lol Ye i think england and america should start our own version of Fifa and do our own comps and that!
The FA disbanding from FIFA would be stupid and outrageous, personally I don't think any bribery went on and FIFAs decisions were mostly based on developing the reputation of football and peoples interest in it.
Russia will be hosting their first ever World Cup and there loads of potential for football in Russia. The English, Spanish and other western European leagues are already fully developed and while any of the potential hosts could've hosted a great World Cup I don't think any would have as much of an effect as Russia.
As for Qatar, it will be the first ever World Cup in the Middle East which will be great with another new region getting their first World Cup (Asia 2002, Africa 2010). Also football isn't so big in the middle east and its an opportunity to make millions of new football fans.

I take it you are Scottish.
I think England can run it's own leagues itself, and add extra things such as goal-line technology.
i think that the decision to choose quatar is based on financial issues... you almost forgot that football is more of a business now(unfortunately) and the idea of huge amounts of cash going to fifa(merchandise...not bribe) was the determining factor. i just hope it does not turn into another fiasco (wc 2002)

Chris, I see your point, but I really feel it is unfair to choose a host nation based on money not footballing history.
Yeah like Evo said it is first time that Russia is doing the World Cup and it will be the 2nd time that World Cup will be play in Asia(I mean Qatar) and I think that influent the Fifa's decision and not birbary.
You can't deny bribery is going on in FIFA, there's insurmountable evidence of it (Remember the ISL case?) and several boards members have already been suspended because of shady dealings.
FIFA blows!
However, I don't think exiting FIFA would be the solution, I think making people wake up and smell the rotten fruit and get them riled up enough so that we can make real structural changes to the management is the way forth.
Right now it's 15 drunken Englishmen in a pub complaining, and that aint gonna cut it..
But just to highlight how bad it is, here's some of the current board members by name, tenure, age:
Julio Humberto Grondona, since 79, 79: Wears a ring saying "Todo Pasa" - nuff said...
Issa Hayatou, since 90, 64: Mastermind behind the Togo-episode.
Jack A. Warner, since 83, 67: His family got their fortune from massive ticket-scalping. Controls ALL votes from north and central America.
Angel Maria Villar Llona, wikipedia doesn't know (mid 90's), 60: Part of the Quatar incident.
Reynald Temarii, since 2004, 43: Suspended for demanding funds for his votes..
Ricardo Terra Teixeira, since 94, 63: Multiple ongoing corruption charges..
Nicolas Leoz, since 98, 82: Criminally charged because of the ISL incident..
... And the list goes on...
Old fat cats most of 'em...
i just cant believe tht england only got two votes out the whole process, too me, i think this is more down to The BBC poxy bloody timing of the programme.
i dont have anything against russia, they probaly do deserve it more then us and tht they also never have done it before.
but also lets be honest there is a whole anti english feeling among europe
I think England can run it's own leagues itself, and add extra things such as goal-line technology.
Sigh... Don't remind me of the goal-line tech now, it sure pisses me off about how England got knocked out of the WC 2010. That Lampard goal was great even though I hate Lampard and Chelsea. Just a great first time shot...
I think the bribery and corruption part are just rumors from angry football fans. Although I will say FIFA had it's share of bad decisions.(Not quite clear of the ISL accident, care to explain it?)

nope. the whole bribery-"rumours" are true.
it's funny how blatter killed off two minor FIFA-guys for bribery while his right hand is evidently making obscure deals.
both UEFA and FIFA are f'ed up to the max.
just one of the examples:

ribery got suspended for THREE matches for that and therefore missed the CL-final. it is in no way a brutal foul, it is an accident, that could be a red card and a 1-match-ban but seriously, three matches is ridiculous.
also if i remember correctly at the 2010 world cup a south american referee was officiating while he was found guilty of being bribed(as far as i know he let one match go on until the losing team scored the equalizer and the winning goal).
