haha i bought him in FM2010 with my leeds-savegame after i had a board-takeover...
cost me 136mil transfer fee, 10mil signing fee and 12,25mil yearly wage(all in €).

that little guy really paid off, his dribblings and passes were a joy to watch

thinking about buying him in my 2011-save, but i don't want to sacrifice my wingers...

got him in fm10...(swapped for a player of mine lol..)
played him primarily as AML but was never outstanding...
then bought c.r for 96mil.

Seeing the transfer fees so far I doubt you will be able to buy Messi or CR. And maybe if there is a chance he agrees to come and Barca to sell him maybe 150+ mil will be needed

If you want to use him(or other AMC) and wingers try with 4-2-3-1

I always tend to buy messi as its one of the way's I feel I have reached the top of the game due to you needing huge cash and club stature for him to be interested. By the time you can afford him money doesnt really matter anyway so why not get him.

My mate bought him for about £120mil on our 2 player game on 2010, the same game I paid £100mil for a 30 yr old CR, worth every penny too lol

I never spend so much money for my players. I think they biggest amount was about 45 million for Ronaldinho back in FM2008.

Tried to, but in my game Barcelona seemed to reject every inquiry I put on Messi. Exchanges doesn't work for me either even though my at that time Fabregas was around the same value of Messi for me. Guess Barcelona only sees cash.

does that really work? cause i started a game with zaragoza and they have massive debts (they get a new loan almost every month to pay the old ones). but i left at the middle of the season cause sevilla wanted me so i dont know if that would happen. also, i always wondered what happens if u really get yor club into massive debts as i never tried to do that..
