Has anyone ever brought Lionel Messi ?

I have both Messi and Ronaldo and they didn't cost me a dime for AFC Wimbledon (End Of Contract). Course they are in their early-mid 30's but they're still really good and my Captain and VC respectively.

i bought him in FM 2006 to Besiktas.i reached 2040 in that game and it became quite boring.regens were like gods!!

No i have brought Kaka on FM11 though for Bolton wanderers when i won the league! cost me 40 Million but was worth it smashed the premier league!

I managed to snag him for a cool 88 mil in FM 11.. Honestly not worth the price though overall. I could buy a whole squad for the same.

I'm afraid not I can only dream of having such a player at my club. He's gonna need to be a lot better on 2012 because the way he plays on 2011 doesn't reflect how he's played this season.

In my opinion 88 mil for 1 player is too much no matter how good he is.

In FM a player is certainly not worth such money, unless you have a transfer budget of like 250 million.. But IRL a big transfer like that can cause a massive increase of merchandising etc.

And on topic: I have never bought Messi myself, but in my current game I think Manchester City bought him for around €60m when he was about 28 as a replacement for Robben who they bought in the second season for around €45m..

IRL I'd never see Messi leave Barcelona. And even if he did he should at least bring over €130m. An injury-free Robben should bring around €80m+.. But with injuries maybe €55m? I really wonder if he will stay at Bayern this summer. Certainly not if they have to play UEFA cup.....

Yeah, after six years, we won the league, barca finished sixth with xavi and inieasta gone, messi handed in his transfer request and i got him for 36 million !!!
