Newcastle have sacked their manager Haughton as they wanted a manager with more experience after he brought them back up from L1 and there doing good in prem. Now Alan Pardew is the fav for getting the job despite him doing poor at Southamton(who knicked Scunthorpes manager Nigel Adkins) Apperently Carrol is going to lead a player rovolt now - I so hope all the players do!
Same here, sacking Hughton after he had done so well was an outrageous decision, Ashley wants a more experienced manager but after the stupid decisions he's made and the way he treated Hughton I can't imagine any experienced manager wanting to manage a Newcastle United under Ashley ownership.
I agree with Evo Hughton did great job promoting them back to Premier League and currently 12th place is decent place for new promoted team.
when i read it on bbc 606 i couldnt believe it especially after what he had done for them, i didnt manage to read the reasons why but i cant see how the chairman (ashley?) wants a more experienced manager when the manager they had may not have had years of experience but he had worked with the team and got them to gel well together enough to get them to the premiership and do better than almost half the teams at the moment in the season
carroll isnt going to lead a player revolt, they woudlnt do that, the fans will though by saturday if pardew is appointed tomorrow. with me included
sacking Haughton was most stupid decision that Mike Ashley had done.. difference between Newcastle and Bolton (6. place) is only 4 points...
I agree that was really the most stupid Mike Ashley's decision. After 16 games 4 points ain't that much there are still 20 games in which you can get 60 points.
Newcastle need a new owner and board - if they carry on the way they are i can see relagation again.
I've seen some outrageous things happen in the roller coaster ride of being a NUFC supporter, but to sack Hughton and replace him with Pardew hands down wins the award for the craziest thing in the clubs history, and to give him a 5 and a half year contract, well I've heard it all now. It's no secret that NUFC has been crying out for stability for years and years, and just when it seemed that was in place with the over played pre Madonna's gone, debt cleared, squad harmony at a high, a lot of fans where also starting to forgive Ashley for his wrongs THEN BOOM Ashley's at it again, what a C**T
Here in Greece every president act like that! ;) Whenever a team goes well they sack the manager to underline that they are responsible for the success! If the team underachive they sack the manager or the players as loosers.. :D
tbh I think thats stupid I think board should sack managers if team is playing poorly and not when managers have success in the team.
