Free kicks

Heya, after some prolonged testing I feel that my tactics are more solid and more refined, but one thing that I am not satisfied with, after starting to score from corners again, are the free kicks, I am mostly using the default ones because when I set them up how I wanted the ball was always going far from any player, or anyway i was rarely getting them how I wanted. I am mostly trying to make my players stay close to a post and then have the ball played to the other one where someone comes to attack it from deep, or just as a surprise, as I conceded many goals, or how the default tactic sometimes work. ( hope you get the idea) however I am listening to any suggestions.

If it is direct free kick than you need good shooter,but good attributes does not mean he will score lots of goals.
when i take over some team i test best free kick takers and than decide who will be permanent free kick taker.

about indirect,well i use the same thing as with corners.

these two things i always use:
good shooter outside the 16m area
one tall player disturbing the keeper

and of course you need good taker,with good passing abilities.

For free kicks i choose "best header" and for corners,if the player is right footed, "near the post" from the left and "to penalty area" from the right.Exactly the opposite for a left footed player.
