So I've been managing Racing Club in Argentina for 2 1/2 years. After two awful seasons of trying to lower the spending and club's debt, we finished 4th in 2027, and qualified for the Libertadores.
But now it's time to register my squad, several key players are greyed out, including my captain and leading striker. We've not played in any previous rounds, so it can't be due to the limit to how many changes you can make between rounds. But it says I can make a maximum number of 0 replacements: replacements for what? Because I haven't played in previous rounds.
Is it a bug?
I've tried the 'auto' registration option, but the problem is still there. I'm not going to finalise this registration until I've tried everything to avoid the problem (I know the players left out will complain!)
