I've been revisiting an old Newport County save. At the end of my first season, I was promoted to League 1. I've been given a fairly generous wage promise for the coming season. But every time I try to sign new players, even players who are very interested in signing according to scout reports, the players' agents tell me that the players are not interested as the club doesn't have the financial clout to meet their wage requirements. I can, in fact, meet their requirements, according to the promised wage budget. I can only assume that there is a conflict behind this with the FFP.
