Favre steps in as Hodgson part ways with Eagles

We are into the third season, better saying at the end of the second season. 'The Eagles' rise very fast under 66-year old Swiss-Coach Lucien Favre and were very close to win their first domestic Cup in History. Losing 1-4 after penalties to Man Utd ruin the dream of every Eagle-Supporter.
They also been knocked out very late in the UEFA Europa Conference League by german side Wolfsburg in the semi-finals, after kicking out Mönchengladbach and Napoli. In the group stage Palace win six out of six against Feyenoord, Maribor and Hajduk.

After finished 7th in Premier League in 22-23, they match the result a year later, so they will play even Conference League or Europa League the next season.

Palace sign Italian Duo

After a terrible season from Justin Bijlow who signs in for Palace from Feyenoord just a year ago, Lucien Favre asked for a new shotstopper. After 'the Eagles' failed to sign Vladan Kovacevic (27) and Dean Henderson (28), they focus on signing Sassuolo Keeper Stefano Turati as Bijlow's replacement.
Palace will pay 8 Million pounds for the 23-year old italian.

Favre also reinforce his Midfield with Samuele Ricci from Torino

The deep-lying Playmaker cost around 28 Million Pounds and will hopefully fit well in Favres' 4-2-3-1 tactics.
After Palace sign Nicolás Castro form Genk (15.50 M] and El Chadaille Bitshiabu from RB Leipzig (3.80 M) the two italians means incoming Transfer Nr. 3 and Nr.4.

Here are a small overview about the transfers that made since Lucien Favre took over:

2022/23
Eric Bailly - Free agent
Malang Sarr - Loanee with Option to buy (8M)
Sivert Mannsverk - Loanee with fix buy clause (11M)

2023/24
Patrick Berg - from Bodo Glimt (6M)
Justin Bijlow - from Feyenoord (22M)
Osman Kamara - from Arsenal for free
Victor Boniface - from Bayer 04 (3.20M)
Antonino Gallo - from US Lecce (8M)
Amar Dedic - from RB Salzburg (15M)
Lewis Hall - From Chelsea (22M)

Abakar Sylla completes Favres' Squad 2024-25

The 22-year old Defender sign in from RC Straßbourg for a Fee around 6 Million Pounds. His Contract valued at 2.500.000 Pounds per year will run until 2028.
The young Man from Ivory Coast will take Joachim Andersens' place, because the Dane wants to sort his future plans and is not longer wanted at the Club.

Before the very heavy start of the Premier League Compaign, 'The Eagles' and Manager Lucien Favre could look back to a solid pre-Season wirth 5 Wins out of 6 Friendly Games.

Premier League Matchday 1st
At the Start of the Season Favres'-Men's took on Title Contenders Newcastle and win by just one Goal. Stefano Turati had a great Debut and also Samuele Ricci who set up the late Winner by JP Mateta.
This Win was such important because Palace will travel to both away Games against Chelsea and Arsenal before met West Ham at Selhurst Park
