Charlton have parted company with manager Phil Parkinson, Assistan Manager Tim Breacker and First Team Coach, legend Mark Kinsella, following Tuesdays 4-2 defeat at home to Swindon Town.
As a Charlton fan of 15 years I have to say it is the right decision. He has been shrewd in some of his signings but seems to stick with the same players, regardless of form. It was because of this lack of tactical nous that we are still a league one side. I understand he has not had the fiancila clout of other clubs but there canbe no excuse for the poor performances of late.
Will Charlton ever find the Alan Curbishley they are looking for?
Who are the current people being put in the frame for the job vacancy?
Feel for Parkinson abit, but then again thats football these days!!

I've heard rumours that ex Bristol City and current Peterborough United manager Gary Johnson
According to the official site he was called into the office following the defeat to Swindon by the clubs new owners and immediately sacked. Kieth Peacock has been put in temporaary chrge and Damian Matthew is his assistant.
The search for a permanent replacement is now ongoing, although no names have yet been touted.
