https://i.imgur.com/9B7Kmdm.png this is what it looks like, I've searched and saw this pop up a few times, solutions that have been suggested that I have tried and yet STILL get the error

uninstall and re-install
install for different location
run as admin

tried all these several different times, still getting that error
I've started getting this error (albeit with a different address at the end of the error message) today. GS has been working fine until now.

I've tried these solutions too and still getting the error.

Hoping that someone can find a solution...
Same here
Anyone found a solution to this? I'm having the same problem currently
I found a solution and thought id share in case anyone else has this issue in the future. If you add Genie Scout executable to Windows DEP exception list, it seems to allow it to run without issue. The screenshot below should hopefully help you. You need to go to System, Advanced System settings. Then Advanced and then Data Execution Prevention. A reboot will be required before the change takes effect. The Access Violation is in relation to protected memory so Windows seems to stop Genie Scout from running.

As with anything like this, its down to each person whether they choose to use this or not, but thought it worth sharing as this seems to have been an issue for awhile.

Hope this helps someone.

Hello, I can't find that on Windows 11? Any sugestions?
Hi, so its a little different with latest Windows 11 build. Go to Windows Setting and type in Exploit in the search window and Exploit Protection should show up. Click on that and then click on Programme Settings. Add FMGenieSout.exe wherever you have it installed. Then scroll down until you see Data Execution Prevention (DEP). Turn it on and apply and you should be set.
