How can I see if a player is likely to join my team, in Genie Scout.
You have to do this:
1. find all players that satisfy your minimal requirements (for ex. age < 30, best rating 60+, sale value < 3 m)
2. then you should save shortlist and import it to FM
3. in FM you should 'Ask assistant to filter out unrealistic targets' via filter menu
4. then import all interested players into a new shortlist in FM
5. and the last: export this "interested" shortlist and open it in the scout

In addition, you can use any detail level filter in the scout within this list of interested in your club people. You don't have to import and apply 'unrealistic targets' filter in the FM many times anymore.

This method is amazing :P I play with Gloucester in Blue Square North atm and used this to find players with a PR of 60%+ and I managed to sign some 67-68% players :P while the division average is around 53% :P
Ahhh, I see. Thanks a bunch!
How can i know if a player is generated or real with fm scout?Maybe with ID?
There's a checkbox called "is regen" on player search window next to "eu national" checkbox. You can't filter out regens but you can search only for them if you want to.
Thank you very much Stam!
It's even easier to make a huge list in FM, filtering nothing but "likely to join". You get a list of a couple of thousand players. Shortlist that list, export it and then import it into GS. Then you can use the GS's player filters, and just check the box "within shortlist". It's a bit faster IMO.
Just a gentle warning - this isn't comprehensive. There's often players who will join your club who aren't on the list after the assistant filters the shortlist.

As a seasoned LLM player I've found there's often more players will join than your assistant says; whether that be on purpose (because your AM is not perfect) or an error I don't know.

If you want to do it manually, look for low home, squad and world reputations, if the player has recently joined the club or not and their wage (if they earn more than your club will pay, they aren't likely to transfer).
I think it has to do with the ability of your assistant, but for the most part his filter is usually decent enough.

But regardless, your last paragraph is very true ;)
Hmm, so far I have not had any trouble with the filtering method. Are you sure you made a new shortlist containing the filtered players?
If the shortlist is recent, all those players should be willing to join your club regardless of you assistant managers abilities.

I have a small problems using this technique, when I import the shortlist to FM it's not filtering any players, I mean Messi and Ronaldo are there, even though when I check the shortlist in-game they do not appear, and everything seems fine.
Some help would be really appreciated :)
Up !

I appreciate the so called "Stam Method"(:p), by ticking the box to ask the assistant to remove unrealistic targets, but there isn't any way to filter this directly from FMScout ?

I'm managing in Tunisia, where, apart unknown african players, I see teams getting players from :

- The balkans
- Guatemala & some central american countries
- Argentina & brasil

So Does anyone here knows how to "emulate" that box we tick to filter out unrealistic targets ?

I guess it's a formula based on the Reputation of the league you're in, the one of your team, and The World/Home/Current Rep of the player you want.

And by the way, here's another method to spot players you can buy : you send a scout to watch over the player, it will tell you if he's likely to join or not. That is, if you can send a scout to the place where the player is.

Your thinking regarding the reputation part sounds correct to me, but I'm not sure how to emulate that. I would try something like this though:

1. Go to player search in-game and ask assistant to filter out unrealistic targets

2. Save & export that list of players and load it in Genie

3. Sort them by reputation and write down the highest reputation there - you might want to experiment with world/home/current to find a good reference point

4. Now when you do a player search in Genie, you could add that reputation filter that would most likely give you only players that'd be interest to join your team
Is GenieScout out for 2012? and when is FMTRE out for 2012?

You are reading "Likely to join".
