What about a FMScout User of the Year?

Today FIFA awards the Golden Ball for best player and manager. I'm betting on Xavi and Mourinho.


Anyway, what about a FMScout User of the Year Award?!


fmscout.com has been a very important site to understand FM. I think every user learns something new while reading the forum. The community spirit is in the base of that since each one of us has its own ideas about how FM works. Sharing those ideas has helped every user in many different ways. I'd suggest fmscout.com staff to be the jury.

It would be only an honorary title with no material benefits.

Well off course, no question about it! But for that reason, and as a staff member, Stam would be part of the jury and therefore, unelectable.

It's not a bad idea, perhaps we could combine it with a member of the month minor award as well.
I have plenty of plans for changes this year, I hope to be able to implement most of them before spring.

Sounds like a good idea. I especially like the member of the month, as a year might be too long

I come here every day to see some posts and updates and i think that it is a great idea.

For me both member of a month as memeber of year are really good ideas.

most posts? (the jurys would have to filter posts to avoid those who only write to say bull****)

you could have minor awards for each nation! english user of the month and so on!

I suppose the criteria would be the quality/quantity of posts; work regarding the improvement of the FM activity such as:

Translations for GenieScout:
Facepacks, Logopacks, Skins;
Training Schedules;
etc...

Insulting should be a penalizing factor I think...

although i also think that a user who comes to the forums to insult or anything like it wouldn't be much concerned if he's able to win the user of the year award, but anyway i think it's a very good idea for us who are respectfull users!

and who wins it could have one of those cool icons under his profile name, i just love those

stam, are we gona need to re-register to the new site? or are u just gona change the site's design and appearance?

Great. Maybe when Stam updates the site that will be possible. I consider it to be a good idea because it would strengthen the community spirit.

I think every 6 months or year would be a good time period. not based on post count as it would be very opinionated if someone did write things in posts such as 'oh I agree with that' without adding anything else annoys me. I wouldn't base it on translator of genie scout either as that restricts it mainly to people who know two languages have a big advantage, and lop-sided possibly. Training schedules possibly but I would rank it as most helpful, and votes and shortlists by the community.

Also as far as I know Stam isn't creating a new site by meaning this, he just means a revamp of current systems new features added. Much like a Playstation Network update but BIGGER!!! something to look forward to, but I wouldn't expect this too soon, due to the release of Genie Scout having just happened and the maintence that comes especially with the first stage of release
