So, I have been playing this since 1998 and this FM24 was the first time that I unninstalled the game before the installation of the new version...
FM 24 makes me mad like none ever before. Success in this game is BAD! If I win anything or I am successful, I will have my team morale completely destroyed:
- Some players want new contracts (earning 4 times more even though some of them just signed new contracts this season or even 6 months ago... and they still might have 4 or 5 years ahead on their contract)
- Other players want to leave for bigger clubs
- Other players don't wanna leave
So, for example, I have been 2 times champions with my hometown club in Portugal, my team was not supposed to be champion, and now, starting my 3rd season after 2 championships back to back, I have 19 players on my main squad unhappy...The only solution looks like is send them all to B team, leave them there to rot for 6 months and buy a whole new squad...
So, my suggestion is had some realism in some situations. For example, players with big composure, leadership, aggressiveness, don't seem to be the ones that are staying in a club that doesn't want them after a successful season! So throw that in
Plus, if a player renegotiates his contract, he cannot be mad about not renegotiating just 6, 12 or 18 months later...If any big offer happens for them, I understand, but just out of the blue is stupid.
Let the clubs define a maximum wage ceiling, it happens in Portugal, and so that value is maxed. I cannot go from a team that is paid 2M/year in one season to a team that gets paid 5M/year and have them all unhappy wanting to get 4 times more...
The transfers and negotiations are very bad, but the happiness due to contracts is something way more simple that SI should fix ASAP.
