In match preparation you can focus on 6 things:
1. None (no focus)
2. Team blend
3. Defensive positioning
4. Attacking movement
5. Tempo
6. Width

Which of these 6 focus areas are related to the 8 columns (formation, mentality, passing style, creative freedom, closing down, marking, tempo and width)?

And by the way I tend to change a little bit during season concerning width, player roles, etc. This means that these columns often aren't at maximum - so when other columns are at maximum (formation, creative freedom, closing down and marking) - what should one do?
1. Don't adjust tactic
2. Adjust tactic - and accept that formation isn't at max?
3. When should you lower match preparation (0-50 %) - and how low shopuld you eventually go?

Looking forward to hear from you.
Basicly they do what they say on the tin, e.g. defensive positioning they pecome better at being positioned in their own half for that game, the only exception to the options is team blend which makes thm more synced. No focus will mean more time is spent on training than a match focus I presume?

I would just keep on doing what you are doing in all fairness

Also a thread from SI extensivly covering / debating the very subject:
