Hi im going to start off with Stafford Rangers or someone similar in the lower leagues anyone have any ideas what tactics would be best to use with a lower league team thanks.
The most importand is this rule
1-What tactic you want to play or you have in your mind
2-If the team you take have the correct roster to play this tactic
3-Maybe you make a lot of transfers to take players to play the tactic you want
4-Play the tactic who is better for that roster and in new year change this
In lower league is better to play with 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1 or 3-5-2
Its important to have 4 or 5 players in the midfield to control the rythm of the game
As far as i am concerned i always follow these rules:
1)Lower League Teams rarely have enough good players for all tactics so you always need to make some transfers.
2)Every formation is good, but 4-4-2 is most flexible so i always use 4-4-2 and buy players for 4-4-2.I change formation only if i have too many injured players so i can not achieve 4-4-2.These are variations of 4-5-1.For example:
-----------AM-----------
---SM---CM----CM---SM---
------------------------
---------AM---AM--------
---SM--------------SM---
-----------DM-----------
-----------AM-----------
---SM------CM------SM---
-----------DM-----------
rarely i use this:
---LW------AM------RW---
-------CM------CM-------
------------------------
---LW--------------RW---
-------CM------CM-------
-----------DM-----------
3)Tactic,well it depends, but at Lower Leage Teams dont try to play short passes, play it only if your team is among the strongest in the league. If you are on the weaker side than use counter attacks and direct passing, also dont try to control the game.
4)I know everyone bring youth players that are hot prospects but in this case you need a few experienced and older players, try to bring some experienced player on these positions: CD,ST,CM(DM)
If you need anything else just ask.
Excellent choice of team in Stafford Rangers! My hometown
.
For tactics in LLM a standard 4-4-2 always works well for me, simple but effective. Just make sure its well balanced with the right mentalities (eg. 3 defend, 3 attack, 4 support)
Hope you take the Boro to glory and good luck duck
i agree with MLR, the LoL guide tactic has helped me to 3 straight promotions and now I'm on my way to extend the streek to 4...
And set pices in LoL guide are really good and I recomend it.

For anyone that uses my tactics or takes my advice, this is the person that I based a lot of my stuff on.
I suggest to u my one and only tactic!4-4-2 diamond! And if u use this tactic, because u have a weak team, u have to take a more defensive style with counter attacks(if u have fast players)...Rigid-standard with this tactic.
