skipping seasons

Has anyone ever attempted/succeeded in simulating/going on holiday for the duration of a season? Or most of one? And by succeeding I mean by not getting fired?

If anyone has tried, what was the result of you doing so success or not?

My experience is that if I go on holiday for say a month , the assistant usually manages to get the whole squad to rebel at some point.
I then have to come back with kid gloves and make peace. Too much work, too much disruption to the squad to be worth it.

As for me,

I find that if I try to go on holiday for too long, the game freezes and becomes unresponsive and then I just have to crash the game and start again.

no why the option of going on holiday is even there remains a mystery to me still!

Yeah I have done quite a few seasons on holiday before, as long as you have the team to achieve what has been asked of you, and a competent assistant manager it's all right

I allways go to holiday when playin with shitty leagues such as Belgian,Austrian and simmilar and i only return to play European games or to buy players!

I stayed in holidays for 4 months and nothing of special happened, but i was in 1º place in the league xP.

I'm pretty sure that's what Go On Holiday was created for.

I use go on holiday a lot, at the beginning of my games, I tend to buy/sell a lot of players.
So I need match time/practice so they can start the new season under the best conditions.
I usually schedule about 6/7 friendlies and i go on holiday for the 1st 5, I play the last 2 so I can see how my players are doing and make some minor changes!

although I check the 'use this tactic and team' box!

I think it's a valuable feature, not like the 'set nickname' !!
