You can potentially sign any player who has a contract release clause for £0. There are some terms and conditions though.
T&C
1. Your DOF will negotiate the contract
2. Your board still have to agree to the bid you make even though it will show as £0
3. The player has to want to come to your club
Prerequisites
1. Go to Responsibilities and take control of your staff contracts.
2. Go to scouting, add a column for contract release clauses. Right click next to club, position, age etc.
3. Make sure you have the orange transfer box ticked
4. Select a player that has a contract release clause under £300m but is valued near the amount of the release clause. (If not your board will reject the offer anyway) even though it will be for £0 the board still thinks you are offering the actual release clause.
5. Use Inaki Williams as your first try.
6. Select is name, go tot the “Transfer” tab at the top, select “make an enquiry”
7. Back to the “Transfer” tab at the top, this time select “Transfer offer”
8. Make sure the fee you are offering matches the players release clause. Highlighted with a green triangle with an exclamation mark in it.
9. Back to the “Transfer” tab at the top, select “withdraw Transfer offer”
10. Now down at the bottom on the right hand side select “Make Offer” hit “Yes”.
11. Continue once and you will get a message saying “Athletic Club have accepted an offer for £0 from x for Inaki Williams”
12. In the bottom right hand corner there is a box that says “Responsibilities” select delegate “Player contract discussions for x”
13. Repeats step 1 to 12 to do another and yes you need to repeat all the steps.
