Brendan Rodgers used various formations in leicester
Such as the 4231, 442 diamond, 3421 and the 433.

Brendan Rodgers over achieved during his time at leicester winning the fa cup and community shield. While also 5th in the league.

Leicester usually played with a 4231/ 433 and had an average possession of about 52%
Leicester were a good defensive side under rodgers

Key principles of Rodgers tactics: Wide build up to the fullbacks, possession with a bit of directness and a high to midblock press.

In my fm test I used the current leicester squad and managed to finish 7th with 59pts qualifying for the europa league whilst conceding only 41 goals and scoring 52goals.

Brendan rodgers leicester didn't always press high, with just a PPDA of 10.

To replicate this I used a balanced mentality with a high press, high line and press more often with prevent short keeper distribution.
At the end of the season my leicester had a PPDA of 5.08, the 12th best pressing side and with an average possession of 50 and passing Accuracy of 89.
Nice summary and solid replication of Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester setup in FM. It’s impressive you stayed true to his tactical principles — especially using the 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 with a focus on wide buildup and balanced pressing. That PPDA of 5.08 is a bit more aggressive than real-life Rodgers, but still within the realm of a realistic, proactive press.

Finishing 7th and qualifying for the Europa League while maintaining defensive solidity (only 41 goals conceded) definitely reflects how Rodgers managed to overachieve with Leicester during his prime seasons. The balance between possession and directness is a tricky one to strike in FM, so that 50% average and 89% pass accuracy suggests your team controlled games without overplaying.

If you’re planning to refine this further, you might consider experimenting with a slightly less aggressive press (maybe tweak "press more often" to standard or adjust the line of engagement), just to bring it closer to Leicester’s real-life PPDA of ~10 — especially in away matches or vs. big sides. But overall, it sounds like a well-constructed replication with good results!
Thank you. A PPDA of 10 would be disastrous with Leicester. 5.08 was quite low. Rodgers side employed a mid press, sometimes high, sometimes normal.
