NEED HELP ASAP MC/DM/AMR

Hello this is my 1st post so i apologizee for any mistake.

I manage Olympiakos in Greece. I am in season 2, 1st in League and 1st in my Ch. L. group after 4 games with Inter, Rubin, Espanyol and 99% i will advance as 1st of the group so I have a good chance of reaching the stage of the 8.

I play with 4-2-4 with 2 CM (ball-winning/central midfielder), 2 winger (support) and 2 strikers(poacher/target man both attack)

I have a remaining budget of 21M for transfers and salaries.

My roster is: (subs in parenthesis)



GK: Renan RIbeiro (Sifakis)

DR: Torosidis (Dennis Appiah/Maniatis)

DL: Digne (Dodo/Holebas)

DC: Avraam Papadopoulos/Rafael Toloi (Varane)

MC: Arevalo Rios (Ignacio Camacho) - ball-wining

MC: Fuster (Pedro of Sampdoria) - central midfielder/Pedro as box to box

AMR: Kiko (Rommedahl)

AML: Albert Riera (Zezinho)

ST: Neymar/Lukaku (Mitroglou)



+ AMC: Fetfatzidis



I feel weak in the middle so I wanna replace Rios and Fuster. I ll get at least 8-10M for selling them. So I need 2 monster midfielders, especially the ball-winning i want him to be nothing but awesome!!

Plus no1: i am selling Maniatis and Holebas, so 3-4M more budget.

Plus no2: i will let Rommedahl go at the end of the season so i would like a suggestion for a AMR too.

Plus no3: age limit 27-28

For AMR I would recommend Alexis Sanchez he really good but not sure how much money for him.

Gago of R Madrid would be a good option for DM/MC. In my last 2 savegames he doesn't usually feature for them and is normally loaned or sold cheaply.

Defour of Standard Liege is also an excellent DM/MC but his stats might be a little low in the 2nd season. I think I picked him up in the 3rd / 4th season. His team mate Witsel is a great player and could do your AMR position as well as in the CM position.

Hi! As for AMR I'd advice you Nani, Gervinho and Obasi.
Try Ninis Sotiris if you prefer a player formed at the country or Afellay if you haven't yet updated to the latest patch. Afellay is a all-rounder as an attacking midfield as well as Ben Arfa.

Within MC and DM I think you should buy Arturo Vidal, Alex Song and obviously Anthony Annan. The first one is a must have as he is a great player who can play virtually everywhere. Anthony Annan is definitely another fine player and a cheap one too.

Also consider Louis Parfait as a hot prospect.

Matias Ezequiel Schelotto is one of the best right wingers in FM11.
In my Atalanta save he had played only 10 games before Napoli offered me 31M for him.
Of course, I rejected that. And for DM/MC I agree with Furrr, Fellaini is great player. I've bought him for only 7M

Well, I don't think i will be very helpful because i play with different tactics (my wingers are inside forwards and good at cutting inside with opposite foot so don't think will suit you) but since i play olympiakos too, i have just one think to mention: If you ever manage to sell holebas for more than 500k and fuster for more than 2M please post a screenshot for me!
My only suggestions would be Alfred N'diaye and Franco Zuculini for DMC. they have been really good in my savegame (11.2 database) and they make my team good enough to challenge for the CL...
Also I have to say since i'm few seasons ahead of you that most of the players mentioned above (sanchez, alex song, fellaini, vidal) would not come to olympiakos. in my save game they wouldn't even let me offer a contract but of course won't lose anything to try!

prophet_omar may be right. Olympiakos has a low reputation compared to top european clubs therefore it gets very hard to sign those players. Even so I am almost sure you can sign Annan and Song (despite the big transfer bid). Assign a scout to report on Joel Matip. Hope I've helped.

i no he's a striker but put neymar AMR and it'll work perfectly.

these recommendations you guys gave him are good but also maybe unrealistic... why? you can only sign a player who is interested in joining that club?
alexis sanchez is definitely not interested to play anywhere outside the top 4 leagues! Gago? I have my doubts...

look for players in clubs like Zenit, Shakhtar, CSKA, Fener, Gala or Besiktas..
and definitelly look in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico.. maybe the best option is to sign players from Panathinaikos... noumsayin?!

someone mentioned Milan Badelj.. yes! that's probably the 2nd best option
if you want a monster for less then €18mil: get Paulo Henrique!

can u suggest combination of players and roles for the 2 CMs??
i am thinking haruna ball wining and canales central midfielder or deep playmaker

Defour is still really good though. I got him after half a season and without him I wouldn't have won the Prem.
I really recommend him.

don't you know that olympiakos and panathinaikos are fierce rivals?
once i tried to buy ninis for olympiakos and they would give him for 12M while they had already accepted an offer of 7M from barca.. The same happened with a regen from AEK, they asked me for triple money!

Canales - advanced playmaker (attack)
Haruna - central midfielder (defend with through ball-often)

I' ve never played with anyone of them except from fuster and i never liked him. Looking at their stats I think your suggestion is maybe the best one.
In addition, one advice i could give for your transfer policy is to always check the transfer-listed and contract-ending players from the "big teams". I got Carlos Vela from arsenal and he did wonders... Also Scocco was really good, I got him free when his contract ended and the next season sold him for 4M...
